On March 13, 2012 Brian Clarence Buckle passed away at the age of 40 years.
Brian was born on June 17, 1971 in Red Deer Alberta, to Kenneth and Eliza Buckle. As a child, Brian was raised in Rosalind, attended Rosalind School and graduated from Camrose Composite High School. He enjoyed playing hockey as a child, and became a faithful "Oilers" fan, and enjoyed playing golf as he grew older. Camping was a favourite past time for Brian, as he was surrounded by aunts, uncles and cousins. Dried Meat Lake and Buffalo Lake became his second home during the summers. On October 9, 1992, the absolute light of Brian’s life Danial, was born.
Brian took great pride in being an active father. They enjoyed soccer during Danial’s younger years and daily rounds of golf as Danial grew older. Brian greatly enjoyed his work with the elderly; his career in this area began at 18 years old and continued for 18 years, first at Rosehaven in Camrose, Extendicare in Leduc and Ermineskin Independant Living Home. Due to back problems, Brian changed his career path, choosing to return to school in the field of social work, at Maskwacis Cultural College. Brian was kind hearted, patient and loved his own patients and fellow students. Everyone respected and loved Brian as he loved them. He will be greatly missed. Brian is survived by his loving mother, Eliza; son, Danial; sisters, Carla Buffalo and Esther Roan; grandmother, Hazel Naslund; uncles, Lester (Sharon) Buckle, Clarence Omeasoo, Dale Kravik; aunties, Margaret Cutarm, Irene (Raymond) Lightning, Clara Johnson, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, fellow students and of course, all of those who knew and loved him. Brian is predeceased by his father, Kenneth Buckle; grandfather, Clarence Buckle; uncles, Darrol Buckle, Clement Omeasoo, Leonard Omeasoo; aunt, Carol Vogelson and maternal grandparents Simon and Mary Omeasoo. Funeral wake is being held at Eliza Buckle's residence where traditional services will take place on Saturday, March 17 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Funeral service will take place at the Rosalind Hall on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at the Greenview Cemetery in Rosalind.
