Cyril Robinson

Mr. Cyril Robinson of West Pine Lodge, Winfield, Alberta passed away peacefully in the Rimbey Hospital on August 23, 2016 at the age of 84 years.
Cyril was born on April 13, 1932 in High River, Alberta to William and Alice Robinson.  He worked for various ranchers and farmers in the area for many years.  From 1955-1981, Cyril was the caretaker of the Highwood Cemetery in High River.  Cyril, or “Cy” as he was affectionately known,  love music carpentry, and will be remembered for his great storytelling and love of children.
Cyril is survived by his brother, Vincent Robinson; sister-in-law, Jeanne Windiate as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Cyril was preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice; step-father, Percy Windiate; sisters, Gwendoline Newman (nee Robinson) and Joan Claypool (nee Robinson); brother, Donald Windiate and great-nephew, Gordon Franklin.
Cremation has taken place.  A private interment in High River will follow at a later date.
