A good man has left our community, the better for his presence for many years. Walter was a great guy, always smiling when we met him. Our condolences to Doreen, Daryn, Heather and families. We are sorry we missed his funeral.

We are sad to hear of Walter's passing. Walter and Doreen were great neighbors to us and Walter was one of the greatest community supporters in Falun - which is saying a lot as there were many. I still have great memories of growing up there. Our condolences to Doreen, Daryn, Heather and their families.

Gil and I spent a lot of time with Walter and Doreen in our dating days. We were with them also every weekend and also went on holidays with them. We always had so much fun and Gil and I loved spending time with them. After we were married and had our families. we remained very close, visiting and travelling with our children. Gil passed away in 2014. I was not able to attend the service as I recently had a knee replacement. Walter and Doreen will be forever in our hearts. Walter and Gil are singing together now and enjoying each others' company. Doreen and I will have time yet to visit. Walter and Doreen will always be to us a very special couple and our memories of time spent will always be with us.

Dear Doreen, Daryn + Arlene, Heather + Mike, and families.

We will never think of Wally without thinking of his Old Rivers song. It's a comfort to picture him and Walter Brennan and Old Rivers up on a hilltop surveying the land! Man.....I wonder! May all the best and sweetest memories of him remain to comfort you. May God hold you in His arms. All our love, Harry and Sandra.
