It is with great sadness and fond memories we announce the passing of Merna Melan. She will lovingly be remembered by her children and grandchildren, (Moneca), Dena, Blaire, Colin and Kory, Ross (Michelle), Megan, Elena and Kaila, Dean (Leann), Brandon, Brittany and Dustin, Jamie (Mike), Tanye, Darcie, Tanner, Kalie, Brayden and Ashlyn and Forist Ewanciw; sisters, June Ranks, Laverne O’Connor, Iris Grover; and brother, Garry (Linda) Grover; as well as her 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and beyond. Merna was predeceased by her loving husband, Daren in 2006; son, Landon; and granddaughter, Melissa.
We are heartbroken at our loss yet celebrate an incredible life with tremendous gratitude for the love she freely gave.
A luncheon to celebrate Merna’s life will be held at the Lakedell Ag Society Complex, 461043 Range Rd 12, Westerose, AB on January 27 at 1:00 pm. Tributes at 1:30. If friends desire, Memorial Tributes may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or SCARS – Second Chance
