Maria and family. I just found out that Eugene passed. I am saddened and wish you and your family my sincere condolences. I will always remember his smile and the wonderful way he worked with my horses. And of course his stories. No one could tell a story like Eugene. I will carry those forever.

We just now learned of this very sad news. I met Eugene when I was young and grew up in the Bashaw area. We had a mutual love of horses and as I think back, the Bashaw Riding Club may have been where our families met. Eugene did our farrier work and as our family grew and our lives became busier we no longer competed in rodeos. Lynden and I hadn't seen Eugene for many years but we remember him fondly. It is a terrible tragedy to lose someone so early in his life and we pray that his wonderful memories will help his family go on. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends
