I wish we would have stayed more in touch. I remember Eugene as one of the nicest, friendliest, and kindness guys I played football with. I vividly remember his hospitality when a few of us went ice fishing on one of the lakes in Lac La Biche.. He has been in my thoughts and prayers since last Christmas when Dan McCaffery E-Mailed me letting me know Eugene's deteriorating health status. I am comforted to know that he is with our Heavenly Father in Heaven and that many of us who played in that 67 Vanier Cup are not too far behind in meeting up with him again. God Bless, Ludi Daubner

Jean and I are honoured and richly blessed to have had Eugene in our lives. I have known Eugene since I was nine years old , as our parents were friends. Gene and I shared many great times and adventures together. A wealth of wonderful times to be cherished and remembered. He was in a true sense a gentleman. Our sincere condolences go out to you, your family and the Lobay families during this time of grief.
