Claire Doris Le Jambe

December 14, 1933 - September 20, 2015

It is with tremendous sadness and heavy hearts we announce that our beloved Mom and Nanny, Claire LeJambe of Mameo Beach, Alberta, passed away on Sunday, September 20th at the age of 81, following a brief, courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving children Brian (Carol) and Elaine, her grandson Jake, the light of her life, and devoted grand dog Molly!  Claire was predeceased by her husband Roger, her parents Bertha and Tom Shaw, and her brother Maurice Shaw.  She also leaves to mourn, sisters Elaine Rawe and Marie Young, brother Tom Shaw (Eileen), her many nieces and nephews who meant the world to her, and numerous friends - all who came to love and respect her for her adventurous and feisty spirit, her ability to see the best in everyone and her unwavering sense of loyalty and devotion to everything and everyone she held nearest and dearest.  Sincere thanks to  the nursing teams from Stations 32 & 35 at Wetaskiwin Hospital and Care Centre who cared for Mom with the utmost compassion and respect during her last difficult weeks.  A gathering of community and celebration of Claire's life will be held on Saturday, September 26th, at the Mameo Beach Community Hall, at 11:00 am, followed by lunch.
