Our beloved Husband, Father, God Father / Ninong and Lolo, Ramon Llorente, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2017 at the age of 85 years.
Ramon is survived by his wife, Roma Llorente; children, Monjie (Pandora) (Diana), Theresa (Heather) and George (Shari); grandchildren, Garett, Megan, Samantha, Jordan, Jacob, Addy, Jonluke, Miley and Riley; siblings, Luming, Esther, Caesar and Julius. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Antonia; mother, Jovita Munoz.
Ramon immigrated to Canada from the Philippines in 1967. He impacted the lives of many in our community through his time as a school teacher, church involvement and participation with the Alberta Filipino Folk Dance troupe. Ramon was passionate about his children, extended family and close family friends – always ready and willing to extend a helping hand.
The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at the Wetaskiwin General Hospital and University of Alberta Hospital for their kindness and care.
A visitation and prayer service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Chapel in Wetaskiwin. After visitation, everyone is welcome to join the family at the Wetaskiwin Senior's Centre for food and fellowship.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Wetaskiwin.
