Penelope Astrid Wiebe

Just 12 days after coming into the world, Penelope Astrid Wiebe passed away peacefully in her parents' arms at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. During her short time, she touched many lives and was lifted in prayer by friends and family across the country and around the world.

Born at 23 weeks gestation and weighing only 520 grams, Penelope fought for life from the beginning. She had lovely dark brown hair and a distinct hairline, and even opened her eyes the day before she passed. She was born at 3:41 p.m. on April 8th and died April 20th around 8:15 a.m.

Penelope is survived by her father and mother, Nathan and Leslie Wiebe; her brother, Ezra Wiebe; her grandparents, Kenneth and Julie Wiebe and Patricia and Tom Jolliff; and her grandfather, David Douglass.
