On Wednesday, September 30, 2015, Leonard passed away after a short stay in hospital at the age of 87 years.
Leonard was born on August 29, 1928 on the home farm to Mabel and Ingward Wicklund. He spent his entire life living on the home place with his brothers, enjoying the simple life of a farmer.
Leonard is survived by two sisters, Irene Olson of Wetaskiwin and Florence (Gordon) Arndt of Edmonton; one brother, Raymond Wicklund of Gwynne and a sister-in-law, Leona Wicklund of Wetaskiwin.
Leonard is also survived by a special nephew, Darcy Wicklund of Gwynne and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Leonard was predeceased by both parents, Mabel and Ingward; two sisters, Myrtle and Verna; four brothers, Alvin, William, Harry and Wilfred; and brother-in-law, Walter Olson.
Memorial Service: Central Community Hall, Gwynne on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
