With sadness we announce that Kenneth Schmidt, of Wetaskiwin, AB passed away at the age of 90 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Myrtle; children, Sherry (Ed) Hrdlicka, Wendy (Colin) Loov, Dwayne Schmidt, Debby Schmidt, and Colleen (Kelly) Brittain; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Roy (Mabel) Schmidt, Delores MacDonald, and Carol (Ed) Kokas, as well as numerous extended family members and many friends.
Ken was predeceased by his parents, Ludwig and Lydia Schmidt; grandson, Josiah Schmidt; granddaughter, Cody Michelle Hrdlicka, as well as one great-grandson, Taite Hrdlicka.
A Funeral Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church (5417 - 40 Ave, Wetaskiwin, AB) on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
