Gertrude passed away peacefully at Wetaskiwin, Alberta on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the age of 86.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Alfred; children, Albert (Lise) Mikulecky and their children, Tracy (Chris) Wright and their children, Taylor, David and Rebecca; Ryan Mikulecky; Donna (Miles) Walters and their children, Christie (Regan) Fuhrhop and their children, Nathan, Amanda, Shannon, Ryland & Bryce; Kevin (Amanda) Walters and their children, Emma and Samantha; Steven (Jackie) Walters and Shawn Walters; Adele (Myles) Kokas and their children, Mark Kokas (Karla) and his son, Keldon; Heather (Jason) Groves and their daughter, McKenzie; Kendra (Corey) Brandon and their son, Logan; Bruce (Donna) Mikulecky and their daughter, Marli Mikulecky and their son, Jeffrey (Ella); sister, Margaret (Al) Moore; brothers, Manfred Elgert, Walter (Carole) Elgert; sister-in-law, Bernice Elgert as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Gertrude was predeceased by her parents, Olga & Theodore Elgert; first husband, Raymond Mikulecky; brothers, Theodore Elgert Jr., Martin Elgert.

Funeral Service: Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church 5417 40 Avenue, Wetaskiwin.

In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted to the Good Shepherd Home - Bladder Scanner Fund.
