Florence Schultz

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Florence Mary Schultz, after a long struggle with Alzheimers.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters Muriel (Wilfrid) Toth of Ponoka and Margaret (Walter) Dawson of Calgary; three grandchildren Leo Toth, Kimberly (Dan) Morrow, and Donna (Kelly) Moore; two great-grandchildren Nicole Moore (Connor Longjohn) and Ryan Moore (Wendy Smith); great-great-grandchild Lukah Longjohn; and her nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence; her parents Hjalmer and Nina Anonson; her two brothers Alvin and Leonard Anonson; and her two sisters Thelma Downer and Ella Forsythe.

Florence was born in Cadogan, Alberta and grew up in the Edberg/Rosalind/Donalda area. At the tender age of 16 she moved to Bashaw where she met Lawrence, her soulmate and love of her life. They were married on November 5, 1941 and were inseparable throughout their long and happy marriage of 64 years. She will always be remembered for her generous, happy and loving spirit.

The family extends their gratitude and thanks to Dr. Halse and to the staff at the Ponoka Long Term Care Center and Rimoka Lodge for the kind and wonderful care she received throughout her battle with Alzheimers.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home with the Interment Service following at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. If friends so desire, Memorial Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society (Alberta/NWT), the Ponoka and District Health Foundation (Long Term Care) or any charity of your choice.
