Wilma Elizabeth Sturgeon was born on May 20, 1932 and went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on November 10, 2024 at Bashaw Meadows.
Wilma was predeceased by her parents Jacob and Marie Quapp; sister Hilda; brother-in-law John Heidebrecht; and brothers Wally and Ed. Wilma is survived by her loving husband Jim of Mirror; her three sisters: Marie (Ernie) Wiens, Sue Black, and Martha (Leroy) Wiens; sisters-in-law Connie Quapp and Mary Quapp; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Wilma was born near Coaldale, Alberta where she grew up on a farm and graduated school. Wilma became a school teacher and taught for several years in southern Alberta, central Alberta, and Germany.
Wilma married the love of her life, Jim, on August 3, and they just celebrated 50 years of holy matrimony together.
Wilma was active in her church and community.

A Funeral Service for Wilma will be held at the Mirror Alliance Church on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with the Interment Service following at the Mirror Cemetery.
