William (Bill) Robert Mellett
April 9, 1933 – March 21, 2021

Bill was born and raised in Wetaskiwin where he lived until his recent move to Jasper, Alberta. This move allowed him to be closer to family after the passing of his wife, Eleanor in May 2020.

Bill is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Denise (Chuck Cantlie); son, Scott (Lori); grandchildren, Ben Kresnyak, Kylie Mellett  (Owen), Jayden Kresnyak (Bailey) and Kristen Mellett (Todd) sister, Barbara (Ande) Dororsh; sisters-in-law, Lillian McDonell, Elaine Thompson (Bob Church), Margaret MacMaster; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents Spencer and Grace Mellett.Throughout their 65 years together, Bill and Eleanor were very active members of the community.  Bill was a Brother of the Wetaskiwin Masonic Lodge No. 15 and Life member of the Wetaskiwin Legion Branch No. 86.  Bill and Eleanor were devoted Legion members and could  often be found there either volunteering or enjoying the comradery of the members. They were involved in the Communities in Bloom and the Reynolds Museum.  Eleanor was a volunteer and board member of the Museum while Bill, with his big smile, enjoyed touring visitors around the grounds in the variety of antique cars.
Family was very important to them.   Cherished memories were made with their children and grandchildren and travelling the globe was enjoyed with both family and friends. They looked forward to Friday Happy Hour with their long-time friends. Cremation has taken place.
