Donald had many stories of his 15 years as an Aero Engine/Air Frame Mechanic with the RCAF, including one year with UN Emergency Force. He was also a mechanic with Air Canada at Toronto International Airport (1966-1974).
Don’s family wishes to thank the staff of the Peace Hills Lodge, Good Shepherd Home, and the Wetaskiwin Hospital Unit 35 doctors and nurses who kindly cared for him.
A service honouring Don’s life will be held at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Wetaskiwin, Thursday, April 17th, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
Interment has taken place at the family plot in the “Olds Cemetery” in Olds, Alberta, next to his loving mother, who had died when Donald was only 17 days old.
It was a bright sunny morning when Donald “passed” through the “Valley of the Shadow of Death”, and had a glorious entrance into his Eternal Home to be with his Saviour.
