Valerie O'Day

Valerie Elizabeth Mary O'Day was born on December 15, 1939 in Bashaw, Alberta.  Valerie was the daughter of Louis and Alice Gallie and a sister to 7 siblings: James Gallai, Micheal Gallie, Lawrence Gallie (predeceased), Kathleen Ray, Delores Meyn, Marg Yannell, and Jennifer Marshal.

Valerie passed away on December 14, 2024 after a long and exhausting fight with health issues and pneumonia.

She is survived by her children Kerry Twamley, Richard DeJong, David DeJong, and Stephen O'Day; her step-son Stephen O’Day; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Bashaw at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 with a Memorial Reception following at the Bashaw Community Centre.
