It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas (Tommy) Charchuk, formerly of Leduc Alberta, on 14 August, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Camrose, Alberta at the age of 66.
Thomas was born on September 5, 1958 in Montreal Quebec.
Tommy was predeceased by his father, Thomas; mother, Lillian; sister, Sherry, and one stepbrother, Ernie.
Tommy, as he was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God, he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, and had a passion for writing and playing music. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Tommy is survived by his loving stepmother, Jeanne Brooker; brother, Stephen Charchuk (Steffi); stepbrother, Colin Brooker; stepsister, Marcia Kirkwood (Colin); step-nephews, Sean Brooker (Katherine) and Stephen Brooker (Amaia Rogers); great-grandnephews, Isaac and Gabriel Brooker; uncles, Ed Charchuk (Helen predeceased) and Clarence Charchuk (Evelyn), and several cousins; Brian Thompson (predeceased), Jennifer Thompson (Chris), Joanne Thompson (Rick), James Thompson (Mariette), Sheila Whitman (Glenn), Erin Thompson, Ken Furrie (predeceased) (Diane), Heather Nadon (Dave), Gerald Furrie (Debra), Connie Viszlai (Stephen), Beverly Charchuk (Tim), Wayne Charchuk (Shelley), and Denise Nowicki (Colin).
Services will be held at the St Michael Catholic Church in Leduc, Alberta on Friday, 5 September at 11:00AM. Burial and lunch to follow. All who knew Tommy are welcome and encouraged to attend.
