April 30, 1950 ~ November 1, 2024
Terry was born in Edmonton, Alberta, and passed away on November 1, 2024, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert (Bob) and Bernice Mansell; his wife, Colleen Mansell (Hawley); and his sister, Monica Bryant. As the eldest of five, he is survived by his brother, Marvin; and sisters, Darlene and Roberta. He will be missed by his family, especially his three daughters, Erin, Eden, and Elana; their mother and his lifelong friend, Alva Crittenden; as well as his grandchildren, great-grandsons, and many cherished friends.
Terry attended Jasper Place High School and spent much of his life in Alberta, calling Wetaskiwin and Mulhurst home for many years. Passionate about the outdoors, he loved hunting, racing, mechanics, and his pugs, and made lasting friendships through these interests. A natural leader, Terry held management roles at Wetaskiwin Agencies, Motorways, Yankee Trucking, and Home Hardware, where his professionalism, kindness, and common sense made an impression with colleagues.
He valued his faith and the friendships he made within his congregation. Terry lives on in our hearts and memories. Holding the hope all things will be made new he looked forward to spending time again with loved ones – alongside horses, chickadees, and no doubt racetracks and garages.
A Memorial Service will take place at Baker Funeral Chapel in Wetaskiwin on November 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m., all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
