Stuart Wayne Raven
1943 ~ 2023

On May 1st, Stuart Wayne Raven passed away in the Wetaskiwin hospital with family by his side. As a member of the Westerose Gospel Church, he was a strong Christian and at peace.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Raven; children, Jim Raven (Aileen), Heather Newell (Stewart), Sherri Raven, Deborah Fluet (Kelly); six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and brother, William Raven (Brenda).

Stuart loved helping people and spent much of his life and energy volunteering. He started with Civil Defense in Montreal, the Royal Montreal Regiment, to the supplemental Reserve in the Air Force in Edmonton.  Stuart continued his service with Branch 252 of the Ma-Me-O Beach Legion. He served for decades in local Fire Departments; Pointe Claire in Montreal, then Ma-Me-O Beach, finishing as the Fire Chief of the South Pigeon Lake Fire Department.  

A Celebration of Life will be held for Stuart at the Lakedell AG Society on Saturday, May 13, at 10:00 a.m., with a luncheon to follow.
