Stacey Lloyd Sawa

It is with overwhelming heartbreak and great sadness to announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Stacey made many friends throughout his life and touched many lives in many different ways. His kind heart and love for animals was immense. Stacey will be dearly missed by those who knew him best.

Stacey leaves to mourn his mother Debbie Sawa and step-father John; daughters Hope and Raydeen; sisters Tina, Wendy (Yassin), and Shannon (Jason); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews. Stacey was predeceased by his father Gordon Sawa; his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Ponoka Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. for those wishing to attend or give their condolences.  Please note that masks are now mandatory for indoor gatherings and social distancing measures will be in place.  The service will be live-stream broadcast at service time and the recording will remain on this obituary page for 90 days.  The video viewer is located at the bottom of this page.

The family ask that memorial donations be given to an animal shelter of their choice.

The family wish to express their sincere heartfelt gratitude in showing such compassion and care during the time of need to the following; Dr.Chan, Greg Bonderas (Rexall Pharmacy), Dr. Playfair, the nursing staff at Ponoka FCSS and Ponoka General Hospital and Care Centre as well as Ponoka Funeral Home.
