Sherry Lynn Shewchuk (nee Krebs)
February 23, 1962 – May 3, 2022
Sherry Shewchuk of Drayton Valley, Alberta passed away suddenly on May 3, 2022 in Red Deer, Alberta at the age of 60.
Sherry was born February 23, 1962 in Edmonton, Alberta. Sherry grew up in a small town in Northern British Columbia then moved to Edson, Alberta in the late 1970’s. She completed her high school in Edson and worked a job at The Grocery People for many years both in Edson and in Edmonton. She lived on an acreage in the Calihoo area for many years where she started her family. Later in life she moved to Drayton Valley where she remained up until her passing.
She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, wit, sarcasm, perseverance and most of all her love of her family. She had a passion for gardening and flowers that she got from her Grandpa Rankin. She loved spending time with the family and relatives at the family cabin at Lac La Nonne. Her recent favorite pastime was seeing and spending time with her grandson.
Sherry is survived by her children, Erin, Cameron, Cole; brother Kevin; sister Stacey and her grandson Halen, who loved her and will always cherish her memory.
She is predeceased by her parents Gary Krebs, Bonnie Tytula and Arthur Tytula.
A celebration of life will be held for Sherry at a time in the future with her ashes being cast in the Lac La Nonne area.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Sherry can be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation in Edmonton, Alberta.
