Sheila Kovacs, age 86, was born in Lacombe in 1939 she passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026, in Camrose.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Mike; daughter, Debra (Rocky); sons, Tony (Natalie), Terry (Carolyn); grandchildren, Jaime (David), Greg (Savannah), Jessica (Landon), Samantha, Glen (Felicia), Mackenzie (Pete); great-grandchildren, Harrison, Charlie, Cordelia, Kinsley, Brooklynn, Iris, Ryleigh, Isabelle, Silas, Lana, Quinn. She also survived by her siblings, Wayne, Linda (Ron), Margaret (JD); and numerous nieces, nephews and many beloved friends.
Sheila was predeceased by her parents, Willa Andrews (Harry), and Shirley Monts; grandmother, Eva Maudes Adams; sister, Audrey.
Sheila graduated from Lacombe High School, then Camrose Lutheran College for Business. She worked at the Moores store, Edmonton Journal, Home Hardware (distribution center). She was part of the Special Olympics (Bowling) and Wetaskiwin stock car club (executive board), most of all she loved her family. She was very involved in her family’s sports, including hockey, baseball, figure skating, and bowling. She loved camping, fishing, golfing and card playing. Sheila will be dearly missed by her family.
