Shane is survived by his Father Irvin Cardinal; Mother Debra Rabbit; Daughter Lily Georgina Bighead; God Son Nigel Westin Jackson; Grandfathers Randy Rabbit Sr. and Russell Rowan; Uncles Floyd Jackson, Mike Jackson, Leonard Jackson (Myrtle), Paul Rabbit, Henry Rabbit, Randy Rabbit Jr., Shaun Rabbit (Meagan), Brad Rabbit (Julie), Reggie Rabbit, and Rocky Rabbit; Aunts Clara Cardinal (Claude), Lisa J. Wolfe, Ronelle Rabbit, and Rhonda Rabbit; as well as numerous relatives - too many to mention.

He was predeceased by his Grandmothers Georgina Frenchman, Melda Cattleman, and Darlene Smallface; Grandfathers John Jackson and Paul Cattleman; and Great-Grandparents Albert Rabbit, Isabelle Rabbit, Norman Cardinal, and Isabella Gladue.
