Ruby Warnke (nee Liske)
November 1927 - July 2026
It is with deep sorrow and love that we mourn the peaceful passing of Ruby Warnke on July 7, 2026, at the age of 98 years.
Ruby is survived by her loving family; children, Duane, Lois, Brian, Murray (Debbie), Brenda; grandchildren, Lynelle (Kevin), Alana (Jarret), Jeremy (Lara), Lianne (Andreas), Jarret (Naomi), Joshua, Kierstin, and Jonathan; step-granddaughter, Kristina; six great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; brother, Wilbert (Doreen) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Ruby was predeceased by her husband, Erwin; parents, Emilie and William; daughter-in-law, Sandra and siblings, Kenneth, Erna and Gordon.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 with the interment taking place at the Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. followed by a service at the Zion Lutheran Church, 5417-40 Avenue, Wetaskiwin at 2:00 p.m.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Mom’s family and friends. Reaching the remarkable age of 98+ years was made possible through the love, care, and support of so many people throughout her life.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Brand and Dr. Hendriks for their wonderful care; to the compassionate staff of Unit 35 at the Wetaskiwin Hospital; to the Home Care nurses; and to the staff and residents of Season’s Retirement, who warmly welcomed her into their community.
Please know that each of you made a meaningful difference in the life of our Mom. Your kindness, support, and care is deeply appreciated and will always be remembered.
