Ruben Bailer, of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at the age of 95 years.
He was an avid farmer in his younger days and very much enjoyed working his land. Ruben trained as a mechanic and could fix anything mechanical. While farming was his passion, he also worked at Stan Reynolds's Museum, Wetaskiwin, and Ponoka Seed Cleaning Plants. He remained on the farm until Esther and he moved to Wetaskiwin in 2012. Ruben’s proudest moment was marrying the love of his life and he was especially proud of his large family.
Left to cherish his memory are his five children, Judy, Ron, Ralph, Rob, Janice, and their spouses; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister Norma (Ervin); as well as his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife Esther in 2015; sister Bernice; brother Kenny; and his parents Gottlieb and Elsie.
His family would like to thank the staff at Good Shepherd for the care he received while living at the facility.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
