Ronald Alexander Ackeral

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Alexander Ackeral, who passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta at the age of 68.
Ronald was born on March 30, 1957 in New Westminster, British Columbia, to Alexander Ackeral of Drumheller, AB, and Marion (Myton) Macdonald of Fernie, BC. He was a man known for his kindness, quiet demeanor , and unwavering love for his dog Chloe.

Ronald is predeceased by his father, Alexander Ackeral; mother, Marion Macdonald; and beloved wife, MaryAnne Ackeral.

He is survived by his loving family, sisters, Donna (Dwain) Ehret, Karen (Roy) Powell, Debbie Ackeral; brother, Doug (Kathy) Ackeral; as well as nieces and nephew, Shai Ehret, Tammy (Brandon) Stevens, Shawna (Joe) Jason, Sherry Ackeral, Ruscelle Powell, and Coleman (Tamara) Powell. He will also be fondly remembered by his great-nieces, Natalie (Alex) O’Brien, Ashlyn Sayers, Brittany Sayers, Isabel Powell; great-nephews, Logan Stevens, Austin Stevens, Riley Jason, Lucas Jason and Darcy Sayers; stepchildren, who held a special place in his heart, Ben (Carol) Johnson, Tim Johnson (Lyndsey Toppin), Lee (Janelle) Johnson, Tanya (Steve) Hill. He was a proud grandfather to Ethan Johnson, Dinessa Jensen, Alaura Johnson, Maddison Johnson, Dawson Johnson, Sierra Johnson,Maya Johnson, Emilee Hill, Molly Hill, and Jesse Hill. His grandchildren were a great source of joy and pride in his life.

Ronald will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In memory of Ronald, donations may be made to the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation - Long Term Care Unit. His memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and love shared among those he leaves behind.
