Opal was a lovily lady that always treated everyone with respect and dignity, her sense of humor was just great. Iam sorry we will not be at the service for Opal but our thoughts will be with you all. She will have new classes to teach in heaven as all her classes have been dimissed.

Opal has always held a special place in my memory as a caring, loving neighbour and teacher who influenced so many of us who grew up in the Calumet, Water Glen and Mecca Glen area. Her smile, the twinkle in her eye and the standards that she set with her kind words always made me want to live up to her expectations. She was a wonderful friend to my mom too and I remember the times in their gardens, the coffee conversations, the laughter ... especially the time she role played the minister in a 'mock wedding' at the community shower for me and my husband Kevin with Gladys Groom as the groom and Norman Vold as the bride! What a happy memory now.
I am sorry I will not be able to attend Opal's service but my thoughts will be with all of you tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Jeanette Boman

What a wonderful lady. My grade 9 teacher and the kindest woman I've ever known. Rest in Peace.

We will always remember Opal's sense of humor. Even in her later years she always had a humorous comeback. We are unfortunately unable to attend her service. She was a lovely lady and she will be missed by many.
With sympathy,
Diane & Lynden Vold

Aunt Opal was sister to our beloved mother, Olive. We fondly remember our summer visits and the happy sound of Mom, Aunt Opal and Uncle Roy visiting and laughing late into the evening. Aunt Opal will always have a special place in our hearts. Much love & sympathy to the family Ruth, Becky & Karen

May God keep you strong as you mourn the wonderful life of your mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Opal was a warm and loving woman and so strong in her faith. She was a part of my family's life for over 60 years. A friendship my parents cherished and which they honoured by inviting Opal and Glen to be my godparents, She was always encouraging me and guiding me and I, too, will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Opal is finally in the arms of the Lord and forever at peace.
