SCHMULAND, Norman
Norman and Clara lovingly lived life hand in hand, and entered death hand in hand.
Norman was born at home, in the Pipestone Community, while Clara and her twin brother were born at the Wetaskiwin Hospital. It was when their families both lived in the Millet community that they met and began their courtship, at the young ages of 19 and 16. They were married on April 18, 1958, and remained in the Wetaskiwin area raising their four children.
Norman became a skilled tradesman, owning two businesses, Crown Drywall and Nomara Interiors, while Clara developed advanced skills as a seamstress and bookkeeper, along with many other things. She also owned her own business, Caremore Yarns and Knits.
Norman and Clara also farmed over the years, raising pigs and sheep. Along with the sheep came the stock dogs, which led them to their involvement and love of competing at trials. They enjoyed church, and helping in its community.
They lived in many locations throughout their lives together, however the longest was at their farm on airport road (35 years), and from there out to a farm north of Gwynne (18 years). They moved into Wetaskiwin in the fall of 2020.
Norman and Clara were predeceased by their daughter, Kathy, and will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by their family and friends.
Cremation has taken place.
