Nellie (Gritchen) Scott

Nellie (Gritchen) Scott passed away peacefully at Northcott Care Center on June 6, 2020 at the age of 87 years.

Nell will be forever missed by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years, Jack: their children Lynn (George) Croft, Paul (Barbara), and Steve (Mona); grandsons Tyler (Rachel) Croft, Ryan (Brooke) Croft, Brandon Croft, Emerson Scott, and Shanea (Jason) Scott; great-grandchildren Charlie and Jaxon; sisters Irene (Don) Durocher, Lanna Lyne-Bryant, and Pat Lyne; and numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.

Nell was born in Glade, B.C. and grew up in Quesnel, B.C. where she married Jack in 1955. In 1957 they moved to Ponoka County where they farmed for over 50 years. Nell loved to read, cook, garden, dance and write, but her proudest accomplishment in life was her family.

Nellie will be laid to rest in the Zion Christian Fellowship Church Cemetery (Highway 53 East of Ponoka) at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020.  Provincial restrictions on public gatherings have now been increased to "no more that 100 people".  Please join us if you are able.
