Nancy was born in a small Indian fishing village, the 2nd oldest of 5 sisters. This active, tough brainiac likely kept her father (a physician) on edge until she settled down and graduated as a nurse. After getting married, she also taught nursing alongside of working as a nurse while she had 3 children. By 1969 the family moved to Alberta, Canada, and Nancy continued on as an RN till she retired in 2001. She made many good friends with her church family at College Heights and nursing colleagues across Canada/US and India. She loved to travel the world and spread her love of Jesus, going and helping in the mission fields, and providing the means for college students to get a complete education. Nancy’s greatest joy was holding her first newborn grandson and later her first newborn granddaughter, and watching them grow. We will miss her terribly.
Nancy is survived by husband Samson Nagelli; son Richard Mathew; daughter Susan McWilliams; grandson Taran McWilliams; granddaughter Shaili McWilliams; her sister Panchi Latour; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Nancy was predeceased by her son Sam Mathew; and sisters Mildred, Lalitha, and Gnani.
The family is deeply humbled by the many loving folk who have visited and shared of your bounty through this difficult time. Nancy found so many good-hearted souls, which is why she loved you.
A private Funeral Service is being held and Nancy will be laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery in Lacombe.
