Nancy Carol (McLeod) Bingeman

Nancy Carol Bingeman (nee McLeod) was born November 1, 1946 in Estevan, Saskatchewan.  She went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on November 30, 2018.

Nancy lived with her parents on the farm near Benson, Saskatchewan.  In 1958 they moved to Estevan where she took grades seven through twelve.  In 1965 she went to Briercrest Bible Institute for two years then went into nurses training at Regina General Hospital, graduating in 1969.  Nancy moved to Edmonton in 1970 where she met and married Gerald Bingeman in 1972.  Shortly there after they moved to Gerald's family farm east of Ponoka.  To this union was born Melanie, Sandra, Kimberly, and Jeffrey.

Nancy and Gerald divorced in 1996 and she moved into Ponoka where she worked at the “old” General Hospital, Northcott Care Centre, and Long Term Care at the present Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre.  Nancy retired in 2011.  She loved to read, do crosswords, and play solitaire on her I-pad.  She was an active member of the First Baptist Church where she helped with the Social Committee and with counting the offerings.  Nancy also babysat grandchildren one to two days a week.  Her ten grandchildren were the light of her life.

Nancy is survived by her children and grandchildren: Melanie (Coyne) Tonneson, Tade, Trace, and Oakley; Sandra (Brant) Flaws, Haley, Hunter, Rylan, and Carter; Kimberly (Beau) Raugust, Clayton, Mya, and Aleah; and Jeffrey (Kris Millar).  She is also survived by her sister Bonnie (Dan) McLaren, brother Garry (Cathy) McLeod, and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Ponoka at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 with Pastor Paul Spate officiating.  The Interment Service will take place at the Forest Home Cemetery in Ponoka.  

Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation or First Baptist Church, Ponoka.
