Myrna Rode
On April 30, 2022 Myrna Rode of Wetaskiwin, passed away suddenly at the age of 80 years.
Myrna was raised and schooled in the Homeglen / Lonesome Pine area and has made her home in the Wetaskiwin and Millet area for most of her adult life. She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Shirley-Ann Hardie (Mike Eldridge) and son, Don (Pum) Hardie; grandchildren, Amanda (Shaun) Paradis, Dawnalee (Javier) Miranda and Jessica Hardie Eldridge; great-grandchildren, Braden and Lathaniel Weiss, and Noah Dawn, Jonah, Joran and Elle Miranda; siblings, Alfred Rode (Glenda), Dave (Linda) Christie, Gary (Susan) Rode, Claire (Kevin) Riddiough and Ruth (Brian) Magas as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Myrna was predeceased by her granddaughter, Andrea Renner and by her parents, Reinhold, Helen and Earl Lockhart.
~ She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her ~
A Memorial Service honouring Myrna’s life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5410-36 Avenue, Wetaskiwin on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
In Myrna’s memory, donations are gratefully accepted to Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute at the University of Alberta Hospital.
