Michael Kerwin Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael K. Smith from Ponoka, Alberta, on May 27, 2023, after a brief illness. Mike was born in Lachine, Quebec, on October 4, 1949.

Mike was married to Karen, his best friend for 31 years. Mike and Karen retired together six years ago and have enjoyed camping with their special friends, hanging with family and sharing each day with each other.

Mike is survived by his wife Karen; children Jennifer (Ryan) and Tricia (Chris); and his grandchildren Kenzie and Kaden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are gratefully accepted to Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.

At Mike’s request, no service will be held.
