With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Lou Turnquist on March 30, 2025, at the age of 86. A devoted mother, grandmother and friend, Mary Lou brought warmth and kindness to all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, Gerald, in 2011. Together, they built their dream home on a 1/4 section of the old Turnquist homestead in 1983, where they raised their boys before moving into Camrose in 2004. Surrounded by family and friends, they cherished their years together and spent winters in Yuma. Lou's greatest joy was "taking care of her boys," a love that extended to all of their friends who became part of the family.

She is survived by her sons, Geoff (Angela) and his children, Reid and Lela; and Rob (Ciaara) and their children, Zack and Ava. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who were like family. Her unwavering love will be deeply missed but forever cherished.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
