Marian Laureen (Winslow) Stewart

Marian Laureen Winslow Stewart was born in Lacombe on November 16, 1960.  She was the youngest of four children: Garry, Gloria, and Sylvia.  Marian was raised on a farm west of Morningside and attended school and graduated in Ponoka.  She worked in Housekeeping at the Ponoka General Hospital from the end of school until 1985 when she lost her left leg to cancer.  Then she became a massage therapist until about 2004 when she got married to Garry, her husband.

Marian will be remembered by her husband Garry; siblings Garry & Nellie Winslow, Sylvia & Norman Goldhawk, and Gloria Winslow; cousins Shane Winslow & Lori, Sherry Henry & Tim, and Cody Winslow & Shandi; and seven nieces and nephews.  Marian was predeceased by her parents Royal and Hazel Winslow.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Marian’s life will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 with the Interment Service following at the Zion Christian Fellowship Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Canadian Cancer Society for research.
