Margaret Rose (Vert) Van-Nes

On July 15, 2026 Margaret Rose Van-Nes of Wetaskiwin, passed away at the age of 85. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Melvin; her son, Norman Barr (Daniana) and grandchildren, Nicholas, Gina (Kurt), Andy and Toby; son, Arnie Barr (Shelley) and grandchildren, Dustin (Jennis) and Derrick (Allie); daughter, Marlene Lemay (Doug) and grandchildren, Jessica (James), Kristopher (Charlee), Nathan (Christina), Melinda (Taylor) and Cherisse (Luke); son, Kevin Barr (Twyla); as well as nine great-grandchildren, Deacon, Daxton, Archer, Logan, Jax, Kainen, Kolson, Peyton and Harrison.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Chapel in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.  Donations in Margaret’s memory are gratefully accepted to the Parkinson Association of Alberta.
