Margaret Holmes

Margaret Holmes was born October 17, 1932. With heavy hearts, we announce that on May 23, 2021 she passed away with her family by her side, in Breton, Alberta. 

Margaret's generous nature, wonderful spirit, and gentle soul were best displayed through her homemade, traditional food, award-winning flower gardens, and her remarkable paintings.

Margaret is predeceased by her loving husband, Daniel and her siblings, Hilda, Axel and Myrtle. She is survived by her brother, Henry; sisters-in-law, Helen Dearing and Pearl Holmes; children, Clarence (Donna) Holmes, Doreen (Garry) Portas, Joanne Wheale, and Gwen Holmes (Glen Kohlman); grandchildren, Ross (Marcie) Holmes, Thomas Holmes, Deanna (Grant) Lang, Candyce (Wayne) Girand, Robert Domeij, Lisa Holmes, and Daniel (Caitlin) Ellis, as well as her great-grandchildren, Chandler, Dylan, Jayden, Amy, Darren, Alex, Alysza, Mikaela, and Cynthia.

Margaret's kind soul will forever remain in our hearts.  May she rest in peace and live on within the memories of her many loved ones.

In loving memory, donations can be made to support Alzheimer's disease foundations and charity of one's choice.

Due to covid restrictions, a private family service will be held, Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 1:00 pm. A livestream recording will be available for viewing at that time.
