It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lynda Elaine Viola Mills of Wetaskiwin, Alberta on May 2, 2026 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by her husband, Joe Bowler.
Lynda will be missed by her children, James Letourneau and John Letourneau (Margie Gwinn); grandson, Rylee Jesse James Letourneau; sisters, Joan Andal (Dwight Andal), Lori Anderson (Rob Anderson); niece, Cailin Mills (Randy Cronin); nephew, Blaine Mills (Teresa Mills); and numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lynda was predeceased by her parents, John and Dorthea Mills; her brother and sister-in- law, Brian and Adeline Mills.
Lynda was a long time member in good standing with the Wetaskiwin Lions Club and could be found volunteering for her favourite activity… BINGO! Until her health no longer allowed her to move freely outside her home, she always enjoyed spending time with her Community of Christ church family and in particular the many summers at the Hills of Peace campground. Lynda was never shy and would always have a smile and a chat for whoever walked by.
A memorial service will occur later in the summer, date and location to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wetaskiwin Lions Club P.O. Box 6281 Wetaskiwin AB T9A 2E9, with cheques payable to Lions of Alberta Foundation.
