It is with heavy hearts, full of love, that we wish to share our loss with a celebration of life for Lynda.
Lynda was born on July 3, 1944, and raised with her 4 sisters and 2 brothers in the Eastend, Saskatchewan area. She graduated in 1963, then moved to Alberta to take her nursing training. She accomplished this completing her RN & Psych. degrees. During her training she made many friends, including her husband to be John. On April 6, 1968, she married John.
In September they welcomed their first child Trenna, followed by their son Bryan in 1980. In 2005 Lynda became a grandma for the first time. When all was said and done, she had 5 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 1 other grandchild, and 2 step- great-grandchildren; all of whom she was proud to spend time with.
In 2009 Lynda retired from nursing. Following her retirement, she had a few bumps in the road with broken bones and a few health issues. Overall, she just lived every moment to its fullest with family, friends, and the shenanigans that go along with the Hansen Crew. Over the years there have been many laughs, creative chaos, and embraces that were carried out in her day-to-day affairs. She loved her garden, family, and ground-level traveling to the end, where she left peacefully to spread her wings once again.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Ponoka Funeral Home (livestream viewer located below).
