It is with sadness we announce the passing of Lonnie Len Sulzle, 81, of Lacombe, Alberta. Lonnie passed away peacefully with family at his bedside.
Lonnie was born November 22, 1944 in Beiseker, Alberta to Charlie and Susan Suelzle.
Lonnie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Merlo; his three sons: LonDell, Leon (Sharleen), and Michael; six grandchildren: Justin (Heather), Taylor (Shauna), Levi, Natalie, Gillian, and Jade; two great-grandchildren Hudson and Jessie; two sisters Judy Cass and Sandra Suelzle; his half-brother Rodney Fordyce; his step-sister Joyce Peyton; his step-father Ernie Andrus; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Charlie Suelzle and Susan Andrus; his step-father Frank Fordyce; his step-mothers Helen Suelzle and Ellen Suelzle; and his in-laws Elva and Walter Olsson.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Lonnie’s life will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ponoka First Baptist Church. The service will be livestream broadcast - a video link is located below.
