Lloyd Patzer Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lloyd Arthur Patzer, 89, of Lacombe, Alberta. Lloyd passed peacefully away with family at his side on April 17, 2026.

Lloyd was born in Hanna, Alberta on November 22, 1936 to Art and Annie Patzer. Lloyd went to school in Spondin, Alberta and during his younger years, he lived and worked on the family farm. Lloyd worked in the farming industry for most of his life, and later worked at the Parkland Furniture Factory, and eventually at Heritage Chrysler in Lacombe. Lloyd enjoyed maintaining his beautiful yard, garden, flower beds, apple tree, and multiple shrubs. He also enjoyed drawing, camping, tinkering in the garage, finding creative ways to fix things, and cheering on the Calgary Flames and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Art and Annie Patzer, and his brother Don Patzer (Marion). He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joane; his two daughters Lana (Jason) Lewicki and Holly Patzer (Jessica Cutter); two grandchildren Tyler (Shae) Lewicki and Jayla (Robyn) Zohar; and six great-grandchildren: Jaxon, Liam, Lucas, Cayson, Vayda, and Reeve, all of whom will miss spending time with their Grandpa. Lloyd is also survived by his nephews Dean Patzer and Barry (Desiree) Patzer; and great-niece Jazz Patzer (Justin Krutsinger).

A Celebration of Life for Lloyd will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it is the family’s request that donations be made to the rebuilding of the Beiseker Level-Land Seventh Day Adventist Church. If you wish to make a donation, please click online giving at www.beisekeradventist.ca then select ‘Church Rebuilding Fund’ under local offerings.
