It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a dear wife, mother, and grandma, Linda Reid from Wetaskiwin, Alberta, on May 12, 2026.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Sadie and Bill Bryce; her parents-in-law, Marjorie and Bert Reid; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gloria and Hardie Hartfield.

She is survived by her husband, Lester Reid; son, Shayne Reid (Dawn); grandchildren, Raine, Jaide (Dwayne), Wyatt, and Cole; great-grandchildren, Daxon, Emily, and AJ; son, Chris Reid (Britteny); grandchildren, Ryker, Hazel, Georgia, and Andie. She is also survived by her sister, Lona Lewans (Mark), and their children Bryce (Morgan), Lyla, Billie, and Erik (Elaina Culbert); and by her brother-in-law, Barry Reid (Marci Tokarski). Linda will also be remembered by her nieces, Marcia Tameling (Darrell), Shari Hersikorn (Brett), and Penny Hartfield and their families.

Linda was born in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, on November 11, 1949. Linda and Lester were married on March 13, 1976, and moved to Wetaskiwin in 1978. Linda was employed in the banking system for over 25 years. Her last 14 years of her career were spent at the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation. Linda enjoyed playing music, camping, quadding, but most of all any activities that involved spending time with family. Linda’s greatest joy later in life was spending time with her grandson Ryker.

A celebration of life will be held at Pipestone Community Centre on May 30, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
