It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our son, Kyle Scott Ross, on October 26, 2024, at the age of 37 years.
Kyle was born in Edmonton, Alberta and lived most of his life in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. He developed many strong friendships and community ties there through school and sports, especially playing hockey. Kyle spent the last ten years as an equipment operator which gave him the opportunity to see and experience many beautiful landscapes around Canada.
Kyle was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hiking mountain trails, fishing and spotting wildlife wherever possible. Recently, his work took him to Ellesmere Island where he was able to marvel at the whales and Muskox. He was always eager to share pictures and stories of his work adventures. Kyle had a kind heart, gentle spirit, a soft spot for babies and animals, and was never afraid to tell those he loved how much he cared for them.
Kyle is survived by his father Darcy, his mother Cheryl and his younger brother Brendan. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather, Jim Bolding and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Kyle was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Yvonne Little, his paternal grandfather Maxwell Little, and most recently, his maternal grandmother, Connie Bolding on October 2, 2024.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Baker Funeral Chapel in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
**The service will be livestreamed below, and will be available to view for 90 days following the service**
If desired, donations in Kyle’s memory can be made to the Alberta SPCA (17904-118 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta, T5S 2W3)
