In Loving Memory of Kevin
April 14, 1970 - July 31, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kevin Grant Eliason on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the age of 55. Born on April 14, 1970, Kevin lived a life full of passion for Jesus, adventure, and deep devotion to the people he loved.
Kevin was a man who loved his family, sharing his life with his wife, Michelle. He was a proud and devoted father to Zade, Anja, and Kaelen, filling their lives with love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Growing up in Fort McMurray, AB, was where his love of the outdoors was sparked. Hunting, quadding, dune buggying, playing in the bush and making deep friend connections. After high school and travelling around the world, Kevin earned his Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan.
After spending many years teaching in Bow Island and Drayton Valley, Kevin's love of adventure brought him to the Yukon, where he worked in a gold mine for several years. He found joy and beauty in the great outdoors: tree planting, hiking, hunting, camping, skiing, golfing, or simply spending time in nature.
He was a lifelong sports fan, playing hockey and volleyball at Caronport High School and Briercrest Bible College, and of course, cheering for the Edmonton Oilers! Kevin was a true “Sports Dad”; spending countless hours volunteering, driving to practices, games and cheering wildly! He was so proud to watch his children play Football, Ringette and Hockey.
Kevin’s presence lit up a room; he loved to share a joke or a story over a cup of coffee. He will be deeply missed by his father, Grant, and his siblings, Shauna, Carla, and Steven, along with extended family and countless friends who were blessed to know him. Kevin was pre-deceased by his mother, Marilyn Eliason.
Kevin's legacy is one of a deep and personal faith in Jesus, love, adventure, and connection—a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
He will be missed more than words can express.
A Celebration of Kevin's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Church (22550 Township Road 530, Sherwood Park, Alberta -East on Baseline, First left after Highway 21)
