Kathleen "Kathi" Weisgerber Obituary

Kathleen Lee (Kathi) Weisgerber
January 25, 1951 – November 19, 2023

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Kathleen (Kathi) Weisgerber, who passed away peacefully at the Wetaskiwin Hospital on November 19, 2023 at the age of 72 years.
Kathi was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.
She was predeceased by her parents Rose and Adolph Schaffler and sister Dianne Breault.
Kathi will be lovingly remembered by Michael (Mike), her husband of 53 years, and their children, Shannon (Don) Graham and Sean (Corinne) Weisgerber. Also mourning the loss of their beloved grandma and great-grandma are her grandchildren, Samantha (Jared) Brown, Dallas (Desiree) Graham, Dayton (Adriana) Graham, Jaxon Weisgerber, and "The Greats", Aria and Harvey Graham.

Kathi was the third of seven children and will be dearly missed by her surviving siblings, Cher Weisgerber, Marilyn (Jim) Maloney, Daniel (Sherry) Schaffler, Lori (Rich) Reardon, and Jacky (Howard) Trofanenko, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kathi was born in 1951 and married Mike in 1970 in Killam, Alberta. She always found work and made friends easily as she followed Mike around the province to Edmonton, Killam, Calgary, Fort McMurray, Wetaskiwin, Brooks, Red Deer and back to Wetaskiwin for retirement. Although Kathi said she was never going to work in a bank, she spent most of her working career in various financial institutions as an Executive Assistant playing many practical jokes on and with her coworkers.

She was well known for her kindness, her loving and gentle spirit, and most of all her sense of humor. Kathi was "one of a kind", cut from the perfect cloth. She loved to spend her time with family and friends doing what she loved; travelling, playing cards and board games, shopping (especially road trips to Great Falls), and attending Broadway plays, concerts, and movies!
If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at the hall at By the Lake Park (6128 56th Avenue, Wetaskiwin).
