Judith "Judy" Ann Dancey
June 23, 1943 - July 13, 2026
Judith "Judy" Ann Dancey, born June 23, 1943, in Macklin, Saskatchewan, has passed away at the age of 83 years on July 13, 2026, in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
Judy was raised in Macklin, the youngest of four children, and attended school there as well. Judy married Don Dancey on December 26, 1960, and they had four children over the next five years. She had many jobs over her lifetime; some included being a waitress, cook, sales clerk, store manager, real estate agent and museum clerk. Judy retired from the museum at the age of 73 years so she could focus on her favourite job of being a grandma. Judy was passionate about her hobbies, whether that be baking, soap making, scrapbooking, painting, knitting or crocheting. Judy was active in the Wetaskiwin art club and, later in life, in the seniors centre crafting group.
Judy is survived by her children, Maureen Bossert, Donna (Don) Jans, and Steve (Heather) Dancey; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
Judy was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Audrey Wagar; husband, Don Dancey; son, Bud Dancey; two sisters; brother; two brothers-in-law; and one nephew.
Judy deeply loved all of her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, whether that be family or friends.
There will be a celebration of life at the Moose Hall, Wetaskiwin, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
A graveside committal service will follow at Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
