Joel Curtis Owen Nichols

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35

Joel Curtis Owen Nichols passed away suddenly June 9, 2025, at the age of 39. 

Born August 14, 1985, in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Joel truly knew that it was more blessed to give than receive. His generosity knew no bounds. Although Joel is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.  

Joel is survived and will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Justine Nichols, and their daughter, Grace Nichols.  

He is lovingly remembered by his mother (MoMa), Beverly Nichols; sisters, Lisa Gonsalvez (Chris) and Alana Schamber (Justin) as well as nephews, Elijah, Deiter & Jasper and nieces, Raya, Mira and Melana and many extended family and friends who will all miss him dearly.  

Joel was predeceased by his father, Garth Owen Nichols.

A private memorial to honor Joel’s life will be held at a later date.
