Joe Strutz

Joseph Reuben Strutz slipped away in restful sleep on February 3, 2020. He is missed dearly by his wife, Ruth Strutz and his two daughters Karen Baumbach (Trent Baumbach) and Barbara KingSchmidt (Jerry Bolinger). Joe also took great joy in his role of beloved Geedo to his three grandchildren Tristi Hendrick, Nic Terrell, and Heidi Baumbach; as well as great-grandchildren Natalia, Makena, and Tessa Hendrick. The eldest child of five, Joseph is survived by his youngest sister Cecilia, and is predeceased by his siblings John, David, and Mary; as well as his parents Sam and Sophie Strutz.

It gave Joe great joy to serve his community and he added much value to the lives of all he encountered through the College Heights Church and Canadian University College. He will be deeply missed by many families far and near.

A Celebration Service will be held on Sunday, February 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the College Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church, with lunch provided at the Lacombe Memorial Centre, immediately following the Celebration Service.
