Joan Staldeker

It is with saddened hearts that the family of Joan Staldeker announce her passing on Monday, September 4, 2023 at the age of 83 years.

Joan will be forever remembered and loved by her five children Janet (Marc) Barbey, Judi Churchill (Bill), Joanne (Rollie) Comeau, Michael (Linda) Staldeker, David Staldeker; her 11 grandchildren Heather (Mike) Castillo, Danielle Barbey (Richard); Brandon (Joely) Churchill, Casey Churchill; Chelsea (BJ) Houghton, Andre Comeau, Nick (Lesley) Comeau, Christie (Mike) Chrunik; Kristen Wynne (Trevor); Chase Staldeker, Maree Staldeker (Eric); her 18 great grandchildren Miguel and Emerson Castillo, Henry Rampersad; Mason and Duke Churchill; James, Joel, Jordan and Jack Houghton; Zoey Comeau, Kyler Comeau; Tori Comeau; Joshua, Theo, Felix and Leo Chrunik; Ronin and Everess Wynne.

Joan was predeceased by her husband Joseph Staldeker in 2011, her grandson Kyle Churchill in 2006, her parents Francis and Kathryn Trainor and special Aunt Babe and Uncle Mike Prediger. 

A Prayer Vigil will be held at the Ponoka Funeral Home on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. (livestream viewer will be located below).

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Augustine Catholic Church, Ponoka on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. with lunch to follow at Ponoka Legion.
